    Yes, Hong Kong is an amazing city, a world-class city. It’s big and bold and dense, but also abounds with hiking trails and beaches. It’s this crazy mix of Blade Runner and quaint Chinese fishing village. Hong Kong is a city I was lucky enough to call home for eight years; although, it came time for me to move on, I cherish my time there and I miss so much about it.

Want to get up early and explore cultural sights? Want to party into the night and sleep into the day? It’s up to you. From street food to Michelin-stars, from hostels to five-star hotels, from historic to brand spanking new. Bangkok has all of that.

    In all honesty, maybe not. You should definitely visit Indonesia, but you would be excused for skipping Jakarta. Jakarta can be crowded, with intense traffic and palpable pollution. However, the island of Java is a great destination and flying into Jakarta is the best way to get to Java.

    If you’re coming to Australia for the first time, Sydney makes the perfect introduction. There are sites, the Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, but even more there is the pleasant weather, the scenic coastal location, and the laid-back pace of life.
